The existing flooring consisted of ageing carpet in the lounge, dining area, and bedrooms, along with older vinyl flooring that had been patched and repaired over time. After an in-home consultation and product selection process, the homeowners chose laminate flooring for the main living areas. To prepare the home for its new flooring, our team carefully uplifted and disposed of all existing carpet and vinyl flooring throughout the property. Particular care was taken to keep the home tidy, organised, and safe throughout the installation process, as the property remained occupied by a young family.
To achieve a clean and professional finish, we undercut the existing skirtings, door jambs, and architraves where required. This allowed the new laminate flooring to slide neatly underneath, eliminating the need for scotia and creating a more seamless appearance throughout the home.
The project was completed in stages to minimise disruption to the family's daily routine. By working through the house in carefully planned sections, key living areas remained accessible while installation progressed.
Once the existing flooring was removed, the subfloor was inspected and prepared where required before the new flooring was installed. The selected laminate flooring was then fitted throughout the living areas, while new carpet was installed to the bedrooms, creating a durable and practical flooring solution designed for modern family living.
