We do the takeoff, mark up the areas, and come back with a floor schedule broken down by area and product. If the specification is already written, we price to the spec and flag anything that needs an RFI before it becomes a problem on site.

Carpet tile
Multi level loop pile in tile and plank format, for offices, corridors, meeting rooms and education. Replaced tile by tile instead of closing the space down.
R10 safety vinyl
Safeguard R10 as standard, R11 and R12 where the slip risk is higher. Welded at the seams and coved up the wall for kitchens, wet areas and back of house.
Commercial sheet vinyl
Homogeneous and heterogeneous sheet for high traffic areas, plus Excelon vinyl composition tile for plant rooms and workshops.
Commercial LVT and hybrid
Plank and tile LVT for retail, hospitality front of house and reception, and hybrid where a click system suits the programme better than adhesive.
Broadloom carpet
New Zealand made broadloom, ACCS Level 4 graded, for function rooms, aged care and accommodation where a seamless run beats a tile grid.
Preparation and finishing
Uplift and disposal, grinding, levelling, moisture barrier, ramping, welded seams, coved skirting and trims. Priced up front, not found on site later.

An early childhood centre on Cameron Road, Tauranga. Full uplift of the existing floor, preparation of the substrate, and a new floor across the teaching spaces, circulation and wet areas, with coved skirting and welded seams where they were needed.

Do you price from architectural drawings?
Yes, and it is the way we prefer to work. Email a PDF or DWG plan set to admin@floorical.co.nz and we will do the takeoff and come back with a floor schedule broken down by area and product. If the drawings and the written specification disagree, we will flag it rather than assume.
Can you supply R10 rated safety vinyl?
Yes. Safeguard R10 at 2mm in 1.5m rolls is our standard commercial safety vinyl, with R11 and R12 available in 2m width where the slip risk is higher. All of it is welded at the seams, and we can cove it up the wall where the specification calls for a washable surface.
Can you work around an occupied building?
Yes. Most commercial work we do is in buildings that are still trading or still teaching. Tell us the constraint at pricing stage, whether that is stages, weekends or evenings, and we will programme it in rather than treat it as a surprise.
What is included in your pricing?
The floor schedule itemises supply, uplift and disposal of the existing floor, floor preparation, moisture barrier where the slab needs one, adhesive, welding, coved skirting, trims and install. If something is excluded, it is written as an exclusion, not left off quietly.
What areas do you cover?
Tauranga, Mount Maunganui, Papamoa, Te Puke, Katikati, Omokoroa and the wider Bay of Plenty. For larger tendered projects we will travel further, so ask.
