Project Summary – Topaz Drive, Papamoa
This flooring transformation at Topaz Drive, Papamoa involved the complete replacement of the existing flooring throughout the main living areas of the home, including the lounge, dining area, kitchen, hallway, and toilet.
We first met the homeowners at the Tauranga Home Show, where we were able to guide them through the flooring selection process and help them find the right product to suit their home, lifestyle, and budget. From the initial consultation through to the final installation, our team supported them every step of the way.
The scope of works included the uplift and disposal of the existing carpet, followed by the installation of new flooring throughout the nominated areas. To achieve a seamless and professional finish, we carefully undercut all existing skirtings, allowing the new flooring to sit neatly underneath without the need for additional trims or scotia.
As the homeowners remained living in the property during the installation, careful planning and communication were essential. The project was completed in stages, allowing us to work one section at a time and minimise disruption to the family's day-to-day routine. This approach ensured key areas of the home remained accessible while work progressed.
To protect the clients' furniture and belongings, drop sheets were placed throughout the work areas to minimise dust during the uplift process. Our installation team carefully managed the removal of the existing flooring and installation of the new flooring simultaneously, helping keep the project moving efficiently while maintaining a clean and safe environment.

Challenges & Solutions
The main challenge for this project was working around the clients’ furniture while they continued living in the home, as well as managing dust during the uplift and installation process.
To help minimise disruption, we worked through the home in sections and carefully moved around the furniture as needed. Drop sheets were also used to protect the clients’ belongings and reduce dust throughout the work areas.
At the end of each day, our team made sure the site was cleaned, tidied, and left safe for the homeowners to continue using the space as comfortably as possible.
