Both prices assume a sound, clean and dry concrete slab. If the concrete needs grinding, patching or a moisture barrier, we'll tell you at the measure and price it separately rather than spring it on you afterwards.
The concrete dust stops. Bare slabs shed fine grit constantly and it gets walked through the whole house, onto carpet and into the laundry.
It's warmer and quieter. A garage with carpet down is a noticeably nicer place to stand in the middle of winter.
It's easier on the knees, and on whatever you drop. Concrete is unforgiving with both.
It covers a stained, patchy or discoloured slab without grinding anything back, which is usually the cheapest way to make an ugly garage look sorted.
If the garage doubles as a gym, a workshop or somewhere the kids play, carpet is what turns it from storage into a usable room.
It presents well when you sell. A finished garage reads as a maintained house, and it costs a lot less than most things that give the same impression.
Garage carpet, supplied
Direct stick installation to the concrete
Cutting in around the door track, steps and any internal door
A tidy finished edge across the garage door opening
Our offcuts and rubbish taken away with us
Clearing the garage. We need it completely empty before we arrive, including the car.
Concrete prep, if the slab is cracked, badly stained, sealed or damp. We check this at the measure and price it then.
Removing an existing floor covering, if there's already something down.
Anything structural. If there's a drainage or moisture problem, carpet won't fix it and we'll say so.

A standard double garage is usually a one day job
The garage needs to be empty when we turn up, so clear it the night before
We'll tell you how long to stay off it and when the car can go back in, since that depends on the adhesive and the weather on the day
Add a review here from a garage carpet customer, ideally one that mentions how quick it was or how much tidier the space looks.

Yes, that's what it's made for. Garage carpet is a different product to what goes in your lounge, built for vehicle traffic and laid direct to the concrete so there's nothing to rumple or shift when you turn the wheels.

Deal with spills promptly and you'll be fine. We won't pretend it's bulletproof, a bad oil leak left to soak in will mark it the same as it would mark anything. If you're running a workshop with regular drips, put a mat under the car and you'll get years more out of it.
Yes, completely, including the car and anything stacked against the walls. We're gluing to the full slab, so there's nowhere to shuffle things to. Clear it the night before and we can get straight into it.
Stains are not a problem at all, covering them is half the reason people do this. Cracks depend on how bad they are. Hairline cracking is fine, anything that's moving or lifting needs sorting first. That's exactly what we're checking at the measure.
Vacuum it like any other carpet. That's genuinely most of it. For anything tracked in off the drive, a stiff brush and a spot clean does the job, and because it's laid direct to concrete there's no underlay holding moisture underneath.
For a standard 6 by 6 double garage on a sound, clean, dry slab, yes, plus GST. What changes it is size, or concrete that needs work first. We measure before we confirm anything, and if something's going to push the price up you'll hear it from us at the measure, not on the invoice.
Tell us the size of the garage and roughly what the concrete is like, and we'll confirm the price. If it's a standard double on decent concrete, you already know the number.
