← Find your floor

Specs, samples, and someone who turns up when they said they would.

You're specifying for a client and your name is on the drawing. What you need from a flooring supplier is accurate data, physical samples in hand, and an installer who won't make your detail look average. This is the premium end of what we carry.

Commercial grade alternative

What you get from us

Full technical data sheets, wear layer, warranty terms and slip ratings on request

Physical samples couriered, or the mobile showroom brought to your client's site

Setout drawings and board direction agreed before we lay a single board

Glued or floating advised per substrate, with the reasoning, not just a rate

One team supplying and installing, so there's no gap between the supplier and the installer to fall into

Where we'll push back

We will tell you when a substrate needs a moisture barrier, because we'd rather lose the margin than cup your client's floor

A floating floor cannot go over another floating floor. If that's what's there, uplift is mandatory and it goes in the quote.

260mm European Oak is a genuine wide board, not a narrow board photographed to look wide. The difference shows in a large room.

On concrete we recommend glued. It's quieter underfoot and it feels like what your client paid for.

Working to a programme

Around three days on site for a straight glued install at roughly 40 m²

Add about a day where an existing floor has to come up

Timber wants to acclimatise on site before we lay, so build that into the programme rather than the install week

We go in after the wet trades and after painting. Tell us where we sit and we'll book to it.

Questions we get asked

Can we get samples for a client presentation?

Yes. Tell us the ranges and we'll courier samples, or bring the mobile showroom to your office or your client's site. If you're presenting, give us a couple of days notice and we'll make sure you have full size boards rather than chips.

Do you provide slip ratings and technical data?

Yes, on request for anything we carry. For commercial work where compliance matters, ask early rather than at specification sign off, so we can confirm the exact product rather than the range.

Who agrees the setout?

You do, with us, before we start. Board direction, where the run begins and how it resolves at doorways all get agreed on site or on the drawing. We don't want to be making those calls on your project without you.

What are the lead times?

It depends on the range and what's in the country. European timber can be the long pole, so if you're specifying it for a fixed completion date, talk to us at design stage rather than at order stage and we'll tell you honestly what's realistic.

Will you work alongside our builder?

Regularly. We can quote to the builder, to you, or direct to the client, whichever suits how the contract is set up. Either way, one team measures, supplies and installs, so there's nobody to blame in the middle when something isn't right.

Can you match an existing floor?

Sometimes, and we'll be straight with you when we can't. Timber shifts colour with age and light, so a perfect match to a ten year old floor is rarely possible. Often the better answer is a deliberate transition rather than a near miss that reads as a mistake.

Send us the drawings.

We'll come back with quantities you can check, the technical data you need, and samples in your hands rather than in the post somewhere.

All from-prices are supply only, per square metre, incl GST, based on current supplier pricing and a ten percent material allowance for cutting and boxed quantities. Installation, uplift, prep, trims, stairs and access are quoted separately once we've measured. Floorical supplies and installs across Tauranga, Mount Maunganui, Papamoa and Te Puke.
